Everest Systems Launches New Fluorostar Spec. Doc.
Everest Systems, a leading manufacturer of high-performance roof coatings, released its new specification document for Fluorostar, a field-applied PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) roof coating. Formulated with Kynar Aquatec, a PVDF resin from Arkema, Fluorostar offers superior color performance and longevity for a variety of roofing applications. The new specification document, coded under Division 070150.16, complies with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) SectionFormat and PageFormat. Fluorostar is suitable for restoring the appearance and performance of aging metal, thermoplastic, EPDM, and modified bituminous roofs. Fluorostar reduces roof surface temperatures by up to 80 degrees, mitigating temperature-related stresses and improving building performance.

I Expands U.S. Operations
MAPEI Corp., a global leader in chemical products for the construction industry, opened a new 32,000-square-foot admixtures plant in Denver, Colorado. The new plant features an advanced mixing and batching facility, warehousing, a state-of-the-art concrete laboratory, and product quality control. This advanced facility is part of MAPEI’s ongoing commitment to strategically expand its operations across the United States, joining existing admixtures plants in Dalton, Georgia; Garland, Texas; Swedesboro, New Jersey; Eagan, Minnesota; and Madison, Illinois. Additional facilities are set to open in Houston, Texas, and Chicago, Illinois, in 2024, and in the southwestern and northwestern parts of the United States in the first half of 2025. With these openings, MAPEI continues to strengthen its production capabilities to meet the growing demands of the construction industry nationwide.

GAF Starts Production at New TPO Plant
GAF, a Standard Industries company and North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, began producing its thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) commercial roofing products at its newest manufacturing plant in Valdosta, Georgia. The 425,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility joins the company’s other TPO operations in New Columbia, Pennsylvania; Mount Vernon, Indiana; Gainesville, Texas; and Cedar City, Utah and adds to GAF’s Georgia operations in Savannah, Statesboro, and Cumming.
