Everest Systems, a leading manufacturer of high-performance roof coatings, released its new specification document for Fluorostar, a field-applied PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) roof coating. Formulated with Kynar Aquatec, a PVDF resin from Arkema, Fluorostar offers superior color performance and longevity for a variety of roofing applications. The new specification document, coded under Division 070150.16, complies with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) SectionFormat and PageFormat. Fluorostar is suitable for restoring the appearance and performance of aging metal, thermoplastic, EPDM, and modified bituminous roofs. Fluorostar reduces roof surface temperatures by up to 80 degrees, mitigating temperature-related stresses and improving building performance.

I Expands U.S. Operations
MAPEI Corp., a global leader in chemical products for the construction industry, opened a new 32,000-square-foot admixtures plant in Denver, Colorado. The new plant features an advanced mixing and batching facility, warehousing, a state-of-the-art concrete laboratory, and product quality control. This advanced facility is part of MAPEI’s ongoing commitment to strategically expand its operations across the United States, joining existing admixtures plants in Dalton, Georgia; Garland, Texas; Swedesboro, New Jersey; Eagan, Minnesota; and Madison, Illinois. GAF Starts Production at New TPO Plant

The 425,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility joins the company’s other TPO operations in New Columbia, Pennsylvania; Mount Vernon, Indiana; Gainesville, Texas; and Cedar City, Utah and adds to GAF’s Georgia operations in Savannah, Statesboro, and Cumming.

MFM BUILDING PRODUCTS TO INTRODUCE 48” SELF-ADHERED UNDERLAYMENT AT IRE 2025
Coshocton, Ohio – MFM Building Products, a manufacturer of a full envelope of waterproofing and weather barrier products for the building industry, will be introducing a new underlayment product during IRE 2025 in San Antonio, Texas.
MFM will be showcasing the company’s new 48” Wind & Water Seal self-adhering roofing underlayment during in Booth 8049. The new product is composed of an embedded traction surface adhered to a high-temperature adhesive rated to 250°F for use under metal roofing systems. Acting as an ice and water barrier, the 48” width eliminates the need to double layer along roof edges in some applications. Self-adhering and self-sealing around fasteners, the product is ideal for use along roof edges, eaves, valleys, and as a whole roof covering for secondary water protection.
